Stinging Nettle

Stinging Nettles are used as food, medicine, tea, and textiles throughout the world. This perennial originates in Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa. Though covered in stinging "hairs" that act as needles injecting passersby with formic acid, it loses its sting when dried or cooked.
